Our Story

Access Family Care

It all started when…

Dr. Charles Hardwick opened a primary care clinic in the late 60s, and named it “Sanford Family Practice.” He built his clinic in hopes of serving the population of Central Florida to the best of his ability. Dr. Hardwick soon created a team of many other physicians, nurses and trusted medical professionals to help him achieve his goal. He had a passion to help his patient’s achieve their goals, no matter how young or old. Soon, he was joined by a young, dynamic physician, Dr. Gary Snell. He worked with Dr. Hardwick to ensure that the patients of Central Florida were well-taken care of. After Dr. Hardwick retired, Dr. Snell took over the practice and promised to carry on Dr. Hardwick’s original wishes and goals for the practice.

In late 2016, Dr. Snell decided that he wanted to take time off and spend time with his family, but it was very difficult for him to separate his life from his patients. He looked for somebody that he could trust that would take proper care of his patients that he considered family. Soon enough, he found Dr. Tazeen Zaidi, who had a practice of her own in Lake Mary, Florida. Dr. Snell believed that she would be a good candidate and decided to reach out. She agreed and was very excited to embark on this new journey while bringing her previous patients with her. The practice name was changed to Access Family Care. Dr. Snell and Dr. Zaidi worked together to ensure a seamless transition between the two practices and that the patients were looked after throughout the whole process.
